Our experienced ski staff will look at the forecast for the Gatineau Loppet and offer tips to get your wax bang-on for the event weekend !
Waxing your skis can seem like a messy, intimidating process that requires lots of equipment. While this can make waxless skis tempting to beginners, there’s no denying that the appropriate use of waxes will have your skis performing better in a wider variety of conditions. For many skiers, gaining confidence with waxing is an important and satisfying part of the sport.
In this clinic, one of our chief ski techs will demonstrate that waxing and maintaining your bases can be done with a few simple tools and inexpensive materials, and can take as little as a few minutes!
Like a lot of sports, you can go on to spend a lot of time (and money) on advanced waxing techniques and equipment. Many people do! However, our goal today is that you walk away from this clinic with the knowledge to get you waxing your skis simply, effectively, and affordably.
Learn how to:
* Clean your bases
* Apply glide and kick waxes
* Select appropriate waxes to match conditions
*Clinic leader will stick around after the session to help you pick the right waxes.
