Conservation Connection Forum & Benefit Banquet - Oct12
Habitat Acquisition Trust would like to invite you for this year’s Conservation Connection Forum and Benefit Banquet. The Benefit Banquet is this year’s major fundraiser event for HAT’s conservation programs, and as a community we hope to come together to celebrate and lift up habitat protection for the region. The evening involves Keynote Speaker and HAT Board Member Dr. Rick Kool speaking on The Blue Boundary Report: developing a collaborative plan for the sustainability of Vancouver Island. We will be having a delicious buffet-style spread provided by Truffles Catering, locally roasted coffee by Smoke & Mirrors, and a cash bar with wine and beer by Phillips Brewery and Symphony Winery. There will also be a tremendous collection of silent auction and raffle prizes to be bid upon, which we will be posting regularly about on our Facebook Page. Look for things like a gift card to Saanich Native Plants and a cozy stay at the Wildergarden on the Sooke Basin.
The Conservation Connection forum is an opportunity for people from across the region representing different organizations, municipalities, and stakeholders working towards habitat conservation to come together to collaborate and learn together and from each other. Through the forum, attendees enjoy expert speakers, breakout groups to discuss and network, and the opportunity to share and display some of the projects or priorities they have in a constructive environment.
